 I chose pets, preferably dogs and cats to do this blog on because they are a big part of our everyday lives. They help us feel better when we are sad, tired, sick, or bored. It is hard for someone to not get happy or feel better when they see an animal. I am currently living in Arizona but I am moving back to North Carolina later this month in March and I will be able to see my dog Bentley again and I can't wait. He has impacted by life so much and even though he doesn't like me as much, I love him so much and don't know how these last 7 years would've been without him.  This is a picture of Bentley and I from a couple years ago. Although he does not like me taking pictures of him, he tolerates me and he is the first dog I have ever actually had and couldn't be happier about it because he is what I wanted and I had always wanted a dog and thankfully we got him. He always has and forever will be my bestfriend.

 In order to have pets, there are essentials that are important in order to keep them well maintained.  For dogs:                                                                                       Leash Food / water bowls Dry or wet food Treats Dog shampoo Dog bed or blanket Monthly medicine for worms or fleas                          Toys A gate and / or crate For cats: Food / water bowls Toys Treats Cat palace or scratching boards Dry or wet food

 Some would agree and some would disagree with cats being a good pet to have. I personally am in the middle because they are more quiet animals than dogs or most animals in general and are often very sweet but can also have downfalls. You may think having a cat is amazing until you realize that your house starts smelling like cat litter and are scratching up all the furniture and walls with their long or sharp nails. A cats nails are something that should often be taken care of because if a cat goes outside and then ends up scratching you later on, all the dirt that was in or on the cats nail is now in that scratch. Animals need to be well taken care of because of all the required things to keep it safe and healthy.  This is Oscar, a cat I use to cat sit but is sadly not here anymore. He was very sweet and loved everyone. He never tried to bite or hurt anyone but as soon as you sit down on the couch, he would jump up and lay across you. 

 Dogs are a wonderful pet to have. They are cute, sweet, loving, caring, and playful. Animals have an easy way of finding out a persons feelings or anything that is going on with them. Dogs have a tendency to be a lot smarter than we think they are. For example, my dog Bentley is able to put letters together to figure out what we are saying. We will spell the word " out " and he will jump up and start barking and then run to his leash. He is also able to tell when it is Saturday since my parents have a Saturday routine by going to softball practice and he knows that he always gets to go. The type of dog I have is a hunting fox terrier mixed with chihuahua which are generally smart dogs.  This is a picture of me and my dog. We got him when I was in 6th grade and would do anything for him to make him happy.

 Some people have different opinions about dogs and cats. Some like dogs and some like cats. I preferably myself love dogs and admire them so much. Dogs are very smart animals and can be a persons best companion whereas cats can be too but are more off independent except for when they want attention. Dogs can feel all the feelings us humans do and act similar to people where cats are just very independent and one-minded animals.
